Barnsley manager Danny Wilson has called Emmanuel Frimpong's tweet about not been able to attract women after moving on Barnsley 'tongue-in-cheek'.

The day he signed from Arsenal, the 22-year-old midfielder posted:  'How am I gonna draw girls now?' followed by three crying faces.

Wilson said: "It's just a bit of tongue-in-cheek sort of thing. It's of no concern to me."

The Reds boss also said Frimpong 'better had' learned a lesson from his debut red card at Sheffield Wednesday. He lasted 30 minutes at Hillsborough before collecting his second yellow. He has served a one-match suspension and is available to play at Doncaster on Saturday.

Asked if Frimpong had learned a lot from the sending off, Wilson said: "He better had. "We've had a good chat about it and he offered up his mistake and generally if they do that he will put it right.

"He's as good as gold. He's a young lad who's learning his trade. He's come here to get regular football and we've got high hopes for him but there are a lot of players in his position so he will need to work hard."
