LIVID staff are pursuing legal action against a pub boss who reopened Chicago Rock under a new name for three days and then left without paying their wages.

Grand Central was launched in the former Wellington Street pub, which had been shut for two years, by Vault Leisure Limited, a company run by Mark Griffiths.

It opened on August 28 and promised to be Barnsley's number one party bar - even going as far as promising punters a gig by pop band the Vengaboys in October.

But it fell short of expectations after Vault Leisure Limited shut the pub on Monday, August 31 - just three days after opening.
