Barnsley drew 0-0 with Yorkshire rivals Bradford City at Oakwell on Saturday.

Lee Johnson kept the same team that won at Millwall in midweek while Kadeem Harris, who signed on loan from Cardiff earlier in the day, was on the bench.

Only five loan players are allowed in a match day squad so reserve goalkeeper Nick Townsend was replaced by 17-year-old academy stopper Jack Walton who has signed a professional contract.

Barnsley almost took the lead in the 12th minute when Marc Roberts' long throw was missed by visiting goalkeeper Ben Williams and Sam Winnall's header fell to Marley Watkins who hit the post from a very tight angle just a few yards out.

Williams redeemed himself with good saves from long-range shots by Winnall and Ben Pearson while, at the other end, Adam Davies was kept quite busy as his best save was a tip over after an overhead kick from Rory McArdle.

Josh Scowen fired over when well-placed early in the second half then almost gifted the Bantams an equaliser when he slipped while turning in front of his own area but Steven Davies put it wide after going clean through.

Bradford substitute Luke James shot straight at Davies after a flick on by James Hanson who later missed a good headed chance.

Barnsley almost won it in injury-time when Alfie Mawson's header hit the inside of the post then he nodded a Roberts long throw just over.
