TWO dedicated members of staff at a local golf club have been rewarded for 25 years of service.
Craig Ansel and Julie Garside have worked at Sandhill Golf Club in Little Houghton since the club opened in 1993, and their service was celebrated at an event this week.
Groundsman Craig and office administrator Julie each received £500 as a reward for their hard work.
Director Vince Keating said the pair had become ‘part of the fixtures and fittings’ in their time with the club.
“They’re our longest-serving members of staff,” Vince said.
“It’s lovely to know they’ve been here for us for as long as the club’s been running.
“It’s great they’ve stopped with us to help out and hopefully they’ll be here for another 20 years.”
Sandhill Golf Club has been commemorating its 25 year anniversary this year, and as part of the celebrations has incorporated a new annual tournament.
