WHAT do you do if you're a Goth in Whitby on Halloween? Get married, of course.

Barnsley Goths Sharon Worman and her new husband Paul Kirkwood chose Hallowe'en on the 20th anniversary of the Whitby Goth Weekend to tie the knot.

Sharon, a family support worker, and Paul, 47, a warehouse worker, took a year to plan their spooky spectacular.

Music came from Grimethorpe Brass Band and a Welsh male voice choir and Sharon was walked down the aisle by her Welsh uncle Gareth to 'I Put A Spell on You' by Screaming Jay Hawkins.

Paul and Sharon met on a night out in Barnsley seven years ago and live in Rainton Grove, Redbrook. They share a love of music from punk rock to Kate Bush and have hobbies including knitting mohair punk jumpers, flower arranging, and writing and recording music and videos.

Sharon said: "Our wedding was unusual, beautiful and fun - one to remember."
