A MEDICAL centre in Dodworth has been rated ‘good’ in the categories of it being ‘safe’ and ‘well-led’ in its latest Care Quality Commission inspection.

Dodworth Medical Practice, on Dodworth High Street has been awarded ‘good’ in two categories after a comprehensive inspection took place in April. The practice could not be rated in the categories of ‘effective’, ‘caring’, and ‘responsive’ due to a lack of evidence in the categories.

The practice was taken over on April 1 by The Grove Medical Practice as it was placed into special measures in 2018 under the management of the previous provider.

The inspection found that since April ‘the practice provided care in a way that keeps patients safe and protected from avoidable harm,’ and ‘patients received effective care and treatment.’

It was also found that the ‘staff dealt with patients with kindness and respect and involved them in decisions about their care’.

The service is now out of special measures and further inspections will follow.
