A GRIEVING daughter who had to wait more than five years for answers about her father's death abroad says the lengthy ordeal has been horrendous.

Karen Viner is disgusted that unexplained delays by Spanish authorities meant the inquest of her dad, businessman Peter Maude, who died in southern Spain in 2009, has only just been concluded.

Only now – more than five years later – has a British coroner ruled the retired Penistone businessman, 71, died of natural causes.

Karen has been told the relatively straightforward inquest would have been dealt with within about 12 weeks had the death occurred in this country.
