A group of seven, including five who work at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, tackled "horrendous" weather conditions and conquered the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge in less than 12 hours.

Tracey Monteith, of Ormsby Close, Thurgoland, Donna and Damian Kilpin, of Stoneway Mews, Green Moor, Sarah Ashton, of Holly Road, Scissett and Anita Swift, of Shelley Drive, Monk Bretton, all work at Barnsley Hospital. They were joined by Tracey's husband Kevin Monteith and Caroline Wherritt, of Holly Road, Scissett, in the challenge.

With the exception of Caroline, who was raising money for Red Cross, the other participants were all walking for British Heart Foundation, and so far have raised around £1,000, with donations still coming in.
