A TEENAGER who was falsely accused of carrying a firearm at Barnsley College remains suspended.

Daniel Njoh, 18, was released without charge by police on September 20 but the youngster, who is studying music at the college’s Old Mill Lane campus, has not been allowed to return.

A college spokesperson told the Chronicle that although the police released the Cameroon-born teenager, of Samuel Square, Gawber, they are still carrying out their own investigation given the nature of the allegation.

Daniel said: “I’ve not been told when I’m allowed back into college to continue my studies.

“It’s been two weeks now so I’m disappointed as I have done nothing wrong.”
