Marlon Harewood doesn't know if he'll be a Barnsley player or not next season – because he's on holiday.

All the club's out of contract players reported to Oakwell on Wednesday apart from Harewood, who has not been in touch with club officials.

Director Don Rowing confirmed: "Marlon Harewood is on holiday at the moment and David (Flitcroft, the manager) will have a word with him when he comes back. No decision has been made on his future."

Luke Steele, Martin Cranie, Bobby Hassell, Tom Kennedy, Jim McNulty, Tomasz Cywka and Jason Scotland have been told they will be offered new deals while a clause in Kelvin Etuhu's deal means his contract is extended by a further 12 months.

Rowing said: "David has indicated which players he would like to keep but no amounts have been discussed yet. "We will be speaking to those players in the next few days and hopefully will get them signed up."
