MICHAEL Coupland’s phone has not stopped ringing since he posted on Facebook offering to do odd jobs for free to help people out in the run up to Christmas.

The 25-year-old is on a quest to spread a flurry of festive cheer in the season of goodwill doing any last minute jobs like painting, wallpapering, rubbish removals, transporting items, helping with shopping, flat pack assembly, gardening - even fixing people’s cars.

Father-of-two Michael, of Dodworth, decided to embark on the goodwill gesture to keep himself busy during the festive period after leaving a senior role in recruitment last month and finding himself at a loose end until he starts a new job in January.
