THEY couldn't possibly chuck out Chuck.

When Steve, 65, and Jenny Kirk, 62, were looking to move to a new home after health problems arose, it was vital that they lived somewhere where they could take their rescue dog with them.

The couple were concerned because some retirement housing associations would not take pets, or made stipulations about them being very small.

But they were heartened to learn that Hanover Court in Worsbrough Bridge, welcomed pets.

Jenny says: "We rescued Chuck from a lurcher rescue centre, where he had been for two years.

"There is no way we could live without him."
