A NEW homework club has opened at a community centre in Lundwood for children of all ages and abilities.
The Homework Support Club is open to primary and secondary school children, and not just those who have fallen behind - anyone who wants a quiet, supportive environment to work or a bit of help and encouragement can go along.
“We’re not here to teach, we’re here to help, support and encourage,” said organiser Sue Fox, manager at the Burton Grange Community Centre at Lundwood where the group meets.
We have been at the heart of our community, every week, since 1858. The town and its people have changed dramatically since then but the Chronicle has been a constant.
It’s our belief that news should be available to everyone regardless of their circumstance. But we need a little helping hand to do so.
