THE learning disability team at Barnsley Hospital has won two awards for designing an app which will improve care for people with learning diasbilities when they visit the hospital.
It won an award in the peer vote and another from the panel of judges at the Digital Health Design Challenge at the Digital Media Centre.
The challenge brought together technology innovators, healthcare professionals and patients to create new products for the NHS and healthcare sector, with the hospital team challenged to improve patient experience through use of digital technology.
