HOYLAND Common has hosted the UK's first ever awareness day for the rare genetic condition Williams Syndrome - after a family affected by it told their story on ITV's This Morning.

Katherine and Paul Taylor are parents to Lauren Taylor, three, who has Williams Syndrome. It causes cardiovascular problems, developmental delay, hypersensitivity to noise and sleep problems.

Lauren's mum Katherine said Lauren's school, Hoyland Common primary, hosted the UK's first 'Say Hello for Williams Syndrome Awareness Day' last Friday after the family had been on This Morning with Phillip Schofield and Amanda Holden.
