A High Flatts ice cream maker has spent more than £20,000 refurbishing a French charcuterie van from the 1960s to be used as a mobile trailer.

Yummy Yorkshire Ice Cream will take the van on the road to food festivals and galas around the region.

The trailer started life as a Citroen HY van and was first converted into a ‘véhicule de boucherie’ in 1967 by French company R Masson and Fila S.A.

It has been modernised for Yummy Yorkshire’s needs, by ice cream building company Evo Composites, but has retained many of its original features.
