IMPROVEMENTS will be made to bridges and footpaths at Worsbrough Mill and country park using cash set aside by a housing developer.

About £20,000 of 'section 106' money will be used to carry out the work, which is a pot of cash set aside by Persimmon Homes South Yorkshire to benefit the community.

This will include refurbishing an existing bridge in the park so it can be opened up for public use and improving access to walking trails and links to the Trans Pennine Trail.

A missing bridge over the river Dove, washed away during flooding, will also be replaced to open up access to Woolley Bank Wood and the surrounding area for locals and visitors to the mill.
