POLICE and fire officers are investigating after a man died in a house fire in Athersley South.
Paul Stephen Outwin, 61, was found inside the house on Darley Avenue early on Saturday.
Emergency services were called at about 2am and crews from Barnsley, Tankersley and Cudworth found the first floor of the semi-detached house well alight.
It is thought the fire was reported by neighbours who saw the roof alight and Mr Outwin was found in the bedroom.
