X FACTOR finalist Jack Walton is wowing his fans with a new single.

Jack, who found fame after playing in open mic nights at the Elephant and Castle, Hemingfield, near where his dad lives, said he already has big plans for next year. The single, released on Christmas Eve, is at 25 in the iTunes chart and is a collaboration with rapper Tom Zanetti.

Jack and Tom want all proceeds from it to go to a charity and are now deciding which one. Jack, 18, was one of Mel B's northern lads on the X Factor before getting voted off in November. He said this week he had big plans for the new year and was working with 'very successful people'.

On Christmas Eve he nipped into the Elephant and Castle with his dad Robin. "Everyone else was watching the telly so we sneaked to the pub," he said. Landlady Trish Watson said: "I got a phone call and a voice said: 'I'm wondering if I can make a booking?' Then it said: 'open the door, I'm freezing!' and I knew it was Jack. When he came in everyone cheered."
