A GROWING business looks set to create 50 new jobs for Barnsley people over the next two years.
Ledgett and Platt, a bed spring manufacturing company, based at Park Springs, Grimethorpe is planning a £5.7 million site expansion.
The huge investment will take the company's total investment in its Barnsley plant to just over £12 million in the last two years.
The American owned company have big plans to expand and grow further with support from the Barnsley Business and Innovation Centre as part of the Enterprising Barnsley programme.
Darren Rhodes, Managing Director of the company, said; "The new expansion will see further recruitment. As the technology in our machines increases, so does the need for skilled workers and talented apprentices and that's why we plan to work with some of the brightest sparks in the industry."
The expansion is planned for later this year but is subject to the business obtaining the Regional Growth Fund funding they have recently submitted a bid for.
