A BARNSLEY fan who suffers from a rare condition had an unforgettable 21st birthday when Reds’ player Angus MacDonald delivered her birthday card.

Jodie Barlow, of Grimethorpe, has San Filipo A Syndrome, which means she is lacking an enzyme in her body which gets rid of the waste products in her cells. Her mum Julie was told she would die between the ages of six and 14.

But Jodie has defied the odds, and was at Oakwell to pick up her birthday card from Angus.

Jodie is a huge Barnsley FC fan and used to regularly attend matches before she got too poorly. She has attended Bluebell Wood Hospice since 2009, and staff contacted the club to see if it could make her day extra special.
