BRIDE-TO-BE Kelly Scruton has got a special guest attending her wedding - her dad’s truck Desperado.
Kelly, 37, is set to marry fiancé Jamie Smith at St Mary’s Church in Worsbrough Village tomorrow.
And while many brides opt for a classic car or something similar to take them to the church, Kelly will be driven there in Desperado - a Chevrolet truck which was originally an American ambulance.
Kelly’s dad Neil Scruton owned Central Garage in Birdwell for many years, and was well-known for building and showing trucks.
Kelly said: “Desperado is like a member of the family and holds a lot of sentimental value. Dad recently lost his mum and dad and took them to be cremated in it.”
Kelly said she was excited for her wedding day. She and Jamie have been together about six years and have two daughters, Esme, four, and Willow, two.
Desperado will also take Kelly and Jamie to their reception after the service.
