A HUGE piece of land close to Barnsley town centre is being divided into five separate sites to make it more attractive to property developers.

Barnsley College has appointed a Leeds-based CBRE's residential investment and development team to market the former Honeywell site as five separate plots, which cover a combined area of 13.5 acres, for residential development.

Planning permission has already been granted for a combined total of 170 residential properties at the sites.

Each of the sites are located just off the A635 within the grounds of Barnsley College and accessed off Honeywell Lane and Cockerham Lane.
