Barnsley continued to struggle in the 2013-14 season as they were beaten 1-0 at Bournemouth.

A 77th-minute strike from Marc Pugh gave the hosts a win they deserved after battering the Reds in the second half.

Captain Stephen Dawson should have put the visitors ahead midway through an even first half when, after Chris O'Grady struck the post from a tight angle, the Irishman hit the exact same part of the goalframe from eight yards out with the goal almost totally open.

Bournemouth dominated the start of the second half and strikers Lewis Grabban and Tokelo Rantie missed great one-on-one chances.

The Reds have now won once in seven matches and could not give the impressive away following of 364 a rare away win.
