BARNSLEY beauty queen Laurel Adams is hoping to take a title for the final time.

The 28-year-old, originally from Jump but now living in Tankersley, has made it to the finals of Miss British Isles Elegance on Monday.

She already holds the titles of Miss Barnsley, Miss North, Miss South Yorkshire and Miss British Isles but Laurel said she wanted to enter this competition as a final go at the pageant game.

Laurel, who works at Barnsley Hospital, will be heading to Chester’s Crowne Plaza Hotel for the final on Monday.

She said: “The final has swimwear, evening and fashion rounds. Basically I have just got to go up there and be myself. I’ll be competing against people from all over the country.

“This will definitely be my last one - I just need to be more about family and settling down, especially at my age.

“All the charity work I’ve done as part of pageants I still want to continue, fund-raising for the Tiny Hearts campaign. That’s just something which I like doing anyway and feels really satisfying.”
