A BARNSLEY company which helps people with learning difficulties by introducing them to gardening and farm work has been targeted by thieves who stole thousands of pounds worth of equipment.

On Saturday night thieves broke into sheds belonging to Greenworks Care Farm in Cawthorne and made off with garden tools including a tractor recently purchased for £11,500.

The thieves then returned on Tuesday night to take everything they hadn’t stolen during the first break in.

Items stolen during the raid include five industrial sized lawnmowers valued at £700, petrol strimmers and hundreds of pounds worth of garden tools and socket sets.
