A NEW law to crackdown on so-called ‘legal highs’ comes into force this month.

The Psychoactive Substances Act 2016 had long-been campaigned for by Barnsley MP Dan Jarvis after a raft of complaints from constituents about antisocial behaviour and people vomiting and passing out in the street.

The legislation aims to ban any substance intended for human consumption that is capable of producing a psychoactive effect.
