JUST because they are called ‘legal highs’ does not mean they are safe.
That’s the message displayed on the back of buses travelling around the town centre, in a bid to make people aware of the dangers of taking the psychoactive substances.
The posters are aimed at parents on the school run and the campaign has been backed by Barnsley FC chief executive Ben Mansford and club captain Alfie Mawson, as well as Barnsley Central MP Dan Jarvis .
Legal highs are things such as bath salts and plant foods which are sold legally, but are smoked or consumed by people.
