X FACTOR singing sensation Holly Tandy stands a real chance of making it through to the live finals.

Holly, 16, from Darton, made it through the six-chair challenge and is down to the final six girls.

She is at the judges’ houses stage of the competition and if she gets through, she will appear in the live finals.

Holly spoke out on This Morning after her mentor Sharon Osbourne received a backlash following the six-chair challenge.

Appearing on the show, Holly said: “It’s obviously been criticised in the past for being cruel and brutal, but from my point of view, it is a good challenge.

“Everyone gets the opportunity to show what they can be like under pressure.

“It’s very different to bootcamp, very different to your audition, it’s insane. I can’t believe I had the opportunity to be a part of that.”
