Shaw Lane Aquaforce and Worsbrough Bridge caused major upsets on Saturday.

Aquaforce knocked FA Vase favourites West Auckland out at the second round stage with an extraordinary second round win in the North East. Shane Kelsey opened the scoring with a free-kick from the halfway line then he and Joe Thornton wrapped up the victory in the final two minutes. The Ducks are now six games from the Wembley final and will face another North East team in Shildon in the third round on December 6.

Worsbrough won 2-1 at Northern Counties East League leaders Emley. The hosts took the lead but Brad Kerr levelled for Bridge, who were in the bottom six, then Josh Evans won it.

Penistone Church's eight-game unbeaten run came to an end with a 2-0 loss at Louth Town.

In the County Senior League, unbeaten North Gawber went top of Division One with a 3-0 success at South Kirkby.

In the South Yorkshire Amateur League, Dodworth-based Tappers won the Barnsley derby 3-1 at home to Working Wonders of Cudworth. Unbeaten leaders Grimethorpe crushed Horse and Groom 8-0. Grimethorpe have now won eight in a row and are still three points clear of second-placed Brinsworth Whitehall who won 5-1 at Euroglaze.
