LITTLE Ellis Deighton was determined he wanted to do something to help poorly babies.

So the seven-year-old gathered up all his unwanted toys and games so he could sell them to raise some cash to give to the children’s ward at Barnsley Hospital.

Not content with gathering his items together to hold his own table top sale, Ellis then set about creating leaflets and flyers on his computer so he could advertise the event to his neighbours.

Having printed them out, he then got permission from his mum Hayley Perry to go on his scooter up and down the street delivering his leaflets.

On Tuesday, the morning on his sale, Ellis, a pupil at Birdwell Primary, baked a batch of cupcakes so he had even more items to sell.
