THEY were rusting, graffiti strewn bridges over stinking overgrown fly-tipped rubbish.

The four bridges over disused railway track in Goldthorpe were so notorious they featured on a documentary sneering at benefits Britain.

Railway View close to Straight Lane bridge in Goldthorpe was even dubbed “old sofa view’ because of the mountains of filth that had piled up there.

But now after painstaking work by various local groups with the Love where you Live campaign has finally seen a massive transformation.
