A 36-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs as part of an ongoing town centre operation.

Last week, officers began an operation focusing on disrupting the supply of drugs in the town centre and across Barnsley.

Quantities of suspected Class A drugs were seized and two men arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug. They have since been released under investigating pending further enquiries.

Stephen Wilcock, of no-fixed-address, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs, in connection to the operation.

Wilcock has been remanded in custody to appear before court on Friday 25 May.
