THIS creepy-crawly was more than enough to put Nigel Hawley off his lunch.
Nigel purchased the washed and ready to eat ‘Rainbow salad’ from Morrisons in town but as he got it out for his lunch the next day was stunned to see a sizeable insect alive and well, crawling about inside the still factory-sealed salad box.
Nigel took it back to the store and was initially offered £25 compensation which was eventually doubled to £50, but he declined and took it home with him as he wasn’t satisfied it was being taken seriously enough in the store.
A spokesman for Morrisons said: “We’d like to investigate this further and have asked Mr Hawley to bring the sample in to store.”
