A MAN left severely disabled after being viciously attacked has not been able to have a bath or shower for eight months because he is still waiting for adaptations to his home.

Craig Howson, 34, was attacked last April as he walked to his home on Rotherham Road from his sister's.

His family were told their bathroom would be turned into a wet room and a lift would be installed to get Craig upstairs. But they are still waiting, and have been quoted a price of £4,000 to fit out the wet room themselves.

Craig's stepfather, Malcolm Mills, 47, said: "If I had the money, I would have these things done for him. The lad has done nothing wrong; he's been viciously attacked. It's annoying for him, sometimes he's sat there and cried."
