THREE people are to run in marathons in Manchester, Sheffield and Paris to help a severely disabled Thurgoland toddler.

The story of Thurgoland couple, Lisa and Craig Gibbons has touched the heart of the local and surrounding communities.

James arrived seven weeks prematurely and was born blind and deaf and with severe cerebral palsy.

Now he is growing bigger, the couple have had to sell their pretty cottage in Thurgoland and have bought a bungalow in Penistone which they will be able to adapt for James' special needs as he grows older.

To help provide a wet room and sensory area, friends have decided to try and raise money to help with the work involved.

Anyone who wishes to sponsor Gareth can do so by logging on to gofunddme/mk3ix0.
