POLICE are investigating after two men forced their way into a pensioner's home in Kendray and robbed him.

 

The 81-year-old was confronted by two unknown men in the early hours of this morning (Monday, 19 May) at his home on Cedar Crescent in Kendray.

 

At around 3.50am the man heard a noise outside and went to investigate. As he opened the door, two men with their faces covered forced entry into the property, knocking the man backwards. They demanded money and sprayed him in the face with an unknown liquid before taking the man's wallet which contained a substantial amount of cash.

 

The pensioner was not seriously injured but is incredibly shaken and upset by the incident.

 

The men are described as white, both of a slim build and approximately 5ft 11ins and 5ft 9ins tall. They both spoke with a local accent.
