A SPIKE in antisocial behaviour at a McDonald’s restaurant near Barnsley town centre is being monitored by police.

The venue, off Old Mill Lane, has been a ‘long-running battle’ for police but the recent Easter holiday resulted in more incidents being reported.

“McDonald’s provide their own security at key times but the holidays saw more kids come into the area,” Sgt Dave Baines said. “We had a spike in antisocial behaviour reports but we’ll monitor the situation.”
