TWO men have been released under investigation following the death of a woman.

On Friday at 11.15pm emergency services were called to Cudworth Post Office on Barnsley Road, following reports that a

woman in her 60s was in cardiac arrest.

The woman, in her 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two men aged 34 and 57, who were arrested at the scene, have now been released under investigation as enquires continue.

A police spokesperson said: “Formal identification of the victim has not yet taken place and therefore they will not be named at this time.

“We ask that there is no speculation around who the woman might be, as this is a very distressing time for the family involved.

“A post mortem has taken place and proved inconclusive. As the investigation continues, if you have any information that may help please call 101 quoting incident number 1102 of April 19 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
