Cameron McGeehan is among three midfield players who have moved away from Oakwell.

The Northern Ireland under 21 international, who joined from Luton Town in the summer, joined League One Scunthorpe United on a loan deal until the end of the season on Thursday afternoon.

McGeehan, who was recovering from a broken leg when he joined, has made ten appearances for The Reds and scored in the 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough.

Also leaving the club on loan is Jared Bird.

Former Derby player Bird recently signed a new deal and will get some playing experience out on loan at League Two Yeovil Town.

Josh Kay, meanwhile, has joined League Two Chesterfield on a permanent deal.

Kay signed from non-league AFC Fylde two years ago and made one appearance in a Barnsley shirt.

He enjoyed a loan spell back at his old club and more recently at Tranmere Rovers.
