WAR veteran Jason Evans’ life was turned upside down when he was diagnosed with a brain tumour - and he’s now trying to raise £75,000 to prolong his life.

The married father of three, of Mulberry Close, Goldthorpe, served with the Royal Horse Artillery and the Lowland Gunners in Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Kosovo, The Gulf and Afghanistan over a distinguished 24-year military career.

Jason says his only real hope of having his life prolonged and improved is through costly proton beam treatment in the USA.

So far, £30,000 of the required £75,000 has been raised.
