A FOUR-YEAR-OLD girl will get the specialist electric wheelchair she needs thanks to kind-hearted people who donated more than £13,000.

Molly Williams suffers from spinal muscular atrophy, a condition which is similar to that of Stephen Hawking, and desperately needed the chair to stop her spine from crushing her lungs.

Her parents May and Julian, of Shelley Close, Penistone, set up a Justgiving page and held a fundraising evening to help raise the money.

They have now ordered the wheelchair, and it is expected to arrive in about four weeks.

It features a specialist head support and an emergency stop button which means the chair can be stopped by May or Julian if needed.
