MOTORISTS are being warned to brace themselves for more than a month of delays on one of the busiest roads on the outskirts of the town centre.

A stretch of Park Road between Locke Avenue and Middlesex Street is being resurfaced, with the work due to get uynderway on Monday.

It could take up to five weeks, a council spokesman said and will mean temporary traffic lights, side road closures and diversions.

Access to properties will be maintained through the length of the works and effort will be made to keep disruption to a minimum.
