AN MP said she was 'disappointed' the Prime Minister appeared to dodge her question about how he aims to deal with ambulance response times.

Angela Smith MP raised the issue in the House of Commons after Kenny Bailey, of Viewlands, Silkstone Common, was left waiting more than an hour for an ambulance after suffering a massive stroke while he was out shopping.

She said the 999 call was classed as a 'red two' priority - the second most urgent category - but it still took 64 minutes to get to him and asked David Cameron what he would do about it.

But the Penistone and Stocksbridge MP told the Chronicle: "David Cameron didn't really answer the question and that was very disappointing, but he didn't even express sympathy for Mr Bailey and his family and that's worse than anything."
