A YOUNG mum is taking action against a bus company after her two-year-old son fell and hurt his head in an incident in Hoyland.

Jade Pinner and her son Jayden got on the number 66 Stagecoach bus at about 1pm just off Greenside Lane in Hoyland to go to his nursery in Elsecar.

Jade was struggling with her son's pushchair trying to lift it into the storage area when the bus set off.

She said: "I shouted 'woah' but just as I did my son flew backwards, banged his head on one of the bus support poles and ended up on his back. Jayden got a huge shock and a big bump on the back of his head."

Stagecoach has now written to Jade, who lives in Cumberland Close, Hoyland, and sent her its insurance details.

The company is investigating the incident and has assured Jade that when this is complete, the driver concerned will be 'dealt with in the appropriate manner'.
