A DOCUMENTARY about the murder of Natalie Hemming has been nominated for a BAFTA award.

Natalie, who used to live at Redbrook, was killed by her jealous partner Paul Hemming in their Milton Keynes home as her children slept upstairs.

Natalie’s sister Joanne Beverley, 40, of Rosefield Avenue, Woolley Grange, is thrilled by the nomination as she wants Natalie’s death not to be forgotten, and to help change attitudes towards domestic violence.

“It’s really exciting, as we want to keep this in the public’s mind,” she said. “The chances are we all know someone who is living with domestic abuse. As long as people find it difficult to talk about, and feel they can’t ask for help, the perpetrators remain in control.

“We need to be able to change that and to be able to talk about it.”

Joanne will be attending the ceremony on May 13.
