PENISTONE’S No Horizon musical has taken the Edinburgh Festival fringe by storm with a response ‘beyond the wildest dreams’ of those who staged the three week run.

It was written by Andy Platt, headteacher at Springvale primary school, years ago and was revived for the Edinburgh production with help from Max Reid and a cast of locals.

Mr Platt said the response to their show exceeded expectations and said: “We are getting a wonderful response to the show - beyond our wildest dreams - including five star reviews and standing ovations.”

The story tells the story of the overlooked mathematical genius Nicholas Saunderson, from Thurlstone.
