HUNDREDS of angels, wise men, inn keepers and sheep and of course dozens of Marys and Josephs have been telling the greatest story ever told across Barnsley this week.

Our photographers have been busy travelling across the borough to capture the scene as primary schools staged a wide variety of colourful Nativity and Christmas productions.

Some were traditional Nativity plays and some schools held non-religious Christmas concerts.

Some schools held different productions for their different age groups, and some even took their show on the road to their local church.

These and all photographs featured in the Chronicle each week can be browsed or purchased by visiting our Buy a Photo page.
