STUDENTS will be putting away their books and putting on their dancing shoes for a new course at Barnsley College.
That’s because the college is offering a new dance course to students interested in a career within the performance industry.
Starting in September, the Level 3 Cambridge Technical Dance course will be taught by industry professionals with more than 15 years of working experience within theatre and television.
Dance disciplines will include ballet, jazz, commercial jazz and contemporary, with opportunities to perform in front of a live audience.
Dance teacher, Karl Newsham, recently provided pupils at Horizon Community College with an insight into the new dance course by hosting an introductory workshop.
