Captain Andy Yiadom needed a rest so was dropped for Tuesday's draw at Hull City, says head coach Jose Morais.

The 26-year-old Ghana international has been one of Barnsley's top players of late, but was replaced at right-back by Dimitri Cavare before coming on for the last 30 minutes.Gary Gardner was named the fourth captain of the season after Yiadom, Adam Davies and Angus MacDonald. Daniel Pinillos also came back from illness and replaced Zeki Fryers at left-back.

Morais said: "I wanted to give Andy a rest. No one is irreplaceable. It's a squad and we have a game every three days. We have four full-backs with quality and potential. Zeki didn't play for a long time then played a demanding 90 minutes at Birmingham."
